Welcome and thank you for visiting my website. I am a licensed psychotherapist offering individual therapy to adults in Berkshire County, Massachusetts.
Finding the right therapist can be a challenging task. One of the most important factors of effective therapy is a feeling of connection with the therapist. I strive to create a safe, respectful environment in which clients can feel comfortable to express themselves and explore whatever is most important to them. Feel free to explore my website and call me with any questions you might have.
I believe that people have within themselves the ability to make changes and create a life that is satisfying. I use a variety of methods to help individuals achieve their goals, and I tailor counseling sessions to each person’s needs. My style is warm and compassionate, and I build upon each person’s strengths and resources. Goals are attained through gaining a deeper understanding of one’s own thoughts and feelings, practicing new skills (such as relaxation, mindfulness techniques, communicating with others, setting healthy boundaries, taking care of oneself, etc.) and at times, learning new ways to think about and react to situations.
I have experience helping clients with issues including:
- Life transitions
- Stress management
- Health and wellness
- Grief and loss
- LGBTQ+ issues
- Women’s issues
- Pregnancy and postpartum
I have been providing psychotherapy and clinical services in Berkshire County since 1994. I earned my Master in Social Work degree from the University at Albany, State University of New York, and have my LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker) in the state of Massachusetts. I received my BA in Psychology and Spanish from Elmira College.
